Coaching Call – How to Lead Effective Meetings

how to lead effective meetings

More than 50% of work hours is filled by meetings. The percentage is even higher if you are more senior in your role and you work for a big organization. Being able to lead effective meetings can have a profound impact on your productivity and on your reputation and the types of relationship you can build.

This podcast was recording during one of our free monthly coaching calls for Soft Skills Gym members. It covers all the following topics

  • Why lead effective meetings – what’s in it for you
  • What are the detailed tips for leading effective meetings
    – Before the meeting – how to prep, who to invite, etc..
    – During the meeting – how to facilitate it to engage the audience for best outcome
-After the meeting – what to do besides just following up on action items
  • Example of a meeting gone wrong and how to address – one of the soft skills gym member shared a specific meeting she led that turned difficult to ask for guidance of how to address next time
  • How to attend only productive meetings – In addition to leading effective meetings, it’s also important to be smart about which meetings to attend. Not all meetings we are invited to need us to be there. If I said yes to all the meetings I am invited to, I would either never get any work done or always have to work long hours.

I hope the recordings below can help you lead better meetings tomorrow. Each topic is separately addressed in the recording below. The first recording is open to everyone. The rest can only be accessible for Soft Skills Gym Members. Add your comments and questions. Best wishes
