It’s a numbers game. Just like dating where it may take quite a few “bad” dates before you have a good one, job search is like professional “dating.” It can take awhile to find a company that is a good fit for you and vice versa.

So don’t worry about it if a company does not reply to your application or if an interview does not go well. It’s all part of the journey of effective job search. Why this blog?

I have worked in consulting for over 10 years and used to mentor dozens of people as part of work. Since I got married and had a baby, I decided to achieve more balance in life and work part time as a business strategy consultant.

While I love my life today, I really miss the opportunity to mentor others. I guess this blog is my outlet to still help others in their career.
